Shawn Sebastian - Narrative Capture

I am a documentary filmmaker, photographer and independent journalist drawn to stories that reveal how people experience change in their everyday lives. Over the years, my work has taken me across villages, cities, coastlines, forests and mountain communities documenting climate realities, cultural transformations, questions of identity, human rights, education and livelihoods. I am particularly interested in the lives that often remain outside the spotlight—people adapting to environmental challenges, preserving traditions, building resilience and shaping their communities in quiet but meaningful ways. Through films, photographs and reporting, I try to create space for voices, experiences and perspectives that deserve to be seen, heard and remembered.
